##**As aProject Control Specialist, reporting to the Manager, Planning, Estimating and Controls, you will be responsible for controlling project cost and scheduling activities for major programs and projects delivered by Power Delivery. Developing and interpreting complex data and reports including budget/estimate, capital****expenditure/addition,**cost and schedule performance, earned value and other program/project performance measures.
##Major****Responsibilities:
- ##Responsible for alignment of schedule management, cost management and earned value management
- ##Ensure the consistent delivery of integrated project costs and schedules for engineering/design, procurement, construction, and****commissioning/closeout
- ##Take proactive steps to monitor, control and report on progress metrics in comparison with the baseline budget and schedule and report on any deviation
- ##Prepare recommendations for remedial action where deviations occur, include trends in the forecast, or develop a mitigation program or corrective measures.
- ##Cost control & reporting for assigned suite of projects including consolidated project cost incurred, forecast, contingency draw down, change log, cash flow curves, cost and schedule variance, and overall project stewardship.
- ##Liaise with project teams to ensure the correct utilization of the project control systems based on project specific requirements and Project Management guidelines
- ##Manage internal Change Management reporting of all project exposures pending, approved and rejected;
- ##Seek Project Manager’s approval for changes to baseline estimates and new forecasted dates/performance;
- ##Interface with project team to develop project forecasts and analyze project schedule and costs for Earned Value (EV)
- ##Participate in cost and schedule risk assessment
- ##Prepare and analyze cost reports to ensure original commitments, cost to date and cost to complete and any variances are accurately reported on a timely basis
- ##Implement financial controls including controlling authorizations of expenditure and cash flow projections
- ##Track and coordinate project progress from a cost and schedule perspective
- ##Perform thorough QA/QC on all deliverables
- ##Responsible for participating in RFP and bid review process by providing input in the schedule and cost development
- ##Support development, implementation, maintenance and continuous improvement of standards, processes, and procedures
##Education Required:
- ##University degree in Engineering or related discipline with 8+ years or a technical diploma with 10+ years
- ##AACE and PMI member - Certified Cost Engineer and Project Management Professional (PMP) designation is preferred
##Qualifications/Experience:
- ##10+ years’ senior project controls experience (Planning & Scheduling, Cost Control, Estimating)
- ##Proficiency in Primavera and Excel
- ##Certified – Primavera P6
- ##Full understanding of project life cycle, EPC, EPCC, EPCM across broad range of projects
- ##Advanced knowledge of Project Controls principals, practices and procedures
- ##Experience with Project Controls Systems for integration of cost and schedule with software programs such as MAXIMO, MAXAVERA, Primavera (P6) or other cost and scheduling tools
- ##Strong computer skills including MS Office (Word, Excel, Access, Project), data base programming an asset
- ##Project Management, and cost engineering best practices training
- ##Data Analysis experience

- ##Highly collaborative with the ability to communicate complex technical information to different audiences.
- ##Ability to identifying areas for growth and improvement, with strong ideation skills and outside of the box thinking.
- ##A strong mentor who can coach, train and coordinate work as required.

##$115,556.35 - $122,777.38 - $129,998.41 - $137,219.45 - $144,440.48
##**Location:**This role will be part of our hybrid (home and office) workforce with office workspace located at South Service Centre (8820 – 52nd Street, Calgary, AB). You will work from home on Mondays and Fridays and in the office on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
