Maybe you’ve done what you were told was the responsible thing.

Get the education. Build the résumé. Find a good job. Work hard. Play it safe. And yet, somewhere underneath it all, there’s a nudge.

After graduating, I felt the pull toward entrepreneurship, but I followed the more traditional path. I went on to build a successful 31-year career—one I’m grateful for—but that entrepreneurial spirit never completely disappeared.
