Your Opportunity:
Description:
As a Dental Hygienist, you will provide clinical oral health care services, health promotion and preventive educational programs. You will examine and chart oral conditions, assess periodontal status, analyzes and interpret client's/patient's condition to develop a client/patient centered diagnosis/assessment and treatment plan. You will provide public education regarding oral health. You will develop and provide in-service and training sessions; dental screening and preventive dental services to schools and participate in the development, implementation and evaluation of oral health programs.
Classification: Dental Hygienist (CAL) Union: HSAA Facility PROF/TECH Unit and Program: Arthur Child Dental Clinic Primary Location: Arthur Child Cancer Centre Location Details: As Per Location Multi-Site: Not Applicable FTE: 0.60 Posting End Date: 03-JUL-2026 Employee Class: Regular Part Time Date Available: 13-JUL-2026 Hours per Shift: 7.75 Length of Shift in weeks: 2 Shifts per cycle: 6 Shift Pattern: Days Days Off: As Per Rotation Minimum Salary: $56.95 Maximum Salary: $73.10 Vehicle Requirement: Not Applicable
Required Qualifications:
Active or eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Dental Hygienists (ACDH).
Additional Required Qualifications:
BLS, local anesthetic certificate, Nitrous oxide certification, Prescriber's license, minimum 5 years experience as a Dental Hygienist.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in hospital based setting, experience with special needs or vulnerable population.
