About the role
The R&D Student is a member of the Research & Development team reporting to the Product Developer. This position’s responsibility is to participate in evaluation of flavours used in the snack portfolio.

Key activities
- Matching Flavour Profiles of Existing Product:
- Work with external flavour houses to match existing flavours on the snack portfolio.
- Conduct sensory review of flavours and develop prototypes.
- Participate in production line trials and collect samples for evaluation.
- Organize and prepare samples for shelf-life sensory studies.
- Document and report on status of various studies.
- Laboratory and sensory analyses:
- Work with the other members of the R&D team on developing various prototype products.
- Prepare samples for sales and marketing activities.
- Maintain R&D project and production files:
- Document project work, prepare reports/summaries, update relevant databases.
Required Training And Experience
- Enrolled or has completed a Bachelor of Science, Food Science or a degree.
Skills sought
- Excellent communication and organizational skills, with strong attention to detail.
- Good understanding of food chemistry.
- Team player and independent worker.
- Mathematical aptitude and computer knowledge.
- Strong written skills.
Specific Of The Position
- 8 month co-op or contract starting January 2nd.
