The project seeks an artist who can blend elements of tarot, medieval, or classic fantasy art, and who excels at conveying nuanced tones—dark, surreal, and whimsical—through their work. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely on the concept, bringing both their expertise and creative suggestions to the table. The final artwork should authentically reflect the unique atmosphere of the audiobook and be completed by the end of April or early May.
Requirements
- Proven experience in traditional illustration, with a portfolio showcasing fantasy, tarot, or medieval-inspired artwork
- Strong ability to interpret and visually express surreal and whimsical themes
- Skilled in hand-crafted techniques; digital-only artists will not be considered
- Excellent communication skills and openness to collaborative feedback
- Ability to work independently and meet project deadlines
- Availability to start promptly and deliver final artwork within the specified timeframe
- Prior experience with book or audiobook cover design is a plus
- Must not use AI-generated art in any part of the process
