This competition may be used to appoint successful candidate(s) to current and future regular, term or acting status appointments subject to staffing approvals.
This competition will be used to fill positions at the Clerk 3 level of varying employment tenures, language requirements, security requirements, conditions of employment and work locations depending on the needs of the positions being staffed.

Qualifications:
Essential:

Post-secondary education in Office/Business Administration and related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and/or related experience may be considered
-
Experience performing clerical/administrative functions including data entry, word-processing, reception duties, and the tracking and distribution of files and preparing reports
-
Experience performing accounting transactions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, budget reconciliations and/or creating financial reports
-
Ability to work with a high level of accuracy, thoroughness, and attention to detail
-
Experience providing exceptional customer service to a diverse clientele by phone, email, and in person interactions
-
Ability to manage confidential and sensitive information
-
Strong problem solving skills with the ability to manage variety of situations with discretion and independent judgement
-
Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to interact effectively with departmental staff, external agencies, other professionals, and the general public
-
Effective verbal communication skills
-
Effective written communication skills
-
Proficient with MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams) or compatible software programs
Desired:
- Experience working with SAP (Financial Module) or an equivalent financial management software
- Ability to read, write and verbally communicate fluently in French
Duties:
The Clerk 3 (CL3) position is responsible for the processing of financial and administrative documents pertaining to the numerous programs within the various Departments in Brandon. Duties include accounts payable, compiling and reconciling financial reports and statistical information, preparing contracts and reports, switchboard and reception, and records management including maintaining and archiving files.
