This role is remote with an expectation to be on the road likely 2 days a month.

Reporting to the Division Manager Auto, the Business Development Specialist responsibilities will include:

Assist the Division Manager in implementing a company-wide go-to-market plan for Auto Divisions. Identify and assess the divisional market fields/segments with potential for growth, implement the sales and marketing strategic plan as developed by the Division Manager and cascade to the Salesforce in collaboration with Sales and Marketing teams. Assist in developing strategic and operational measures/instruments to drive sales growth in collaboration with Division Manager. Support in identifying/formulating the product range and services portfolio of the Division in collaboration with the Division Manager. Conduct market research and reporting back to the Division Manager by on-going visits to customers, studying competition, and analysing pricing trends. Make joint sales calls and ride along on a regular basis with the Auto teams to support sales activities and evaluate progress, create action plans, and execute on them for continuous improvement in collaboration with the Division Management. Drive Implementation of technical and marketing support required to improve on divisional sales activities. In collaboration with the Division Manager, drive implementation of sales incentives and product focused campaigns to drive sales growth via all sales channels. In collaboration with trainers and Division Manager, help facilitate division specific training for the sales force staff (e.g., new & existing staff, regional product training, product managers and other divisional representatives). Leverage customer insights to develop sales enablement tools that support sales reps and add value in the field.

The Ideal Candidate Will Bring

Degree or diploma in Business Operations/Strategy, or related subject preferred. Bilingualism French/English - verbal and written. Highly analytical and influential to drive a high level of performance within the division. 2-3 years in a similar capacity is an asset; developing and executing market and sales strategies within multiple sales channels. Innovative mindset and thorough understanding of leading market best practices for the Division. A high level of alignment with the company’s Corporate Values. Drive and energy as well as the ability to manage conflicting priorities and pressures. Strong cross-functional collaboration and influencing skills. Ability to driver results vertically and horizontally and being comfortable to work in a matrix organization. Exceptional communication skills and demonstrated ability to deal effectively with all level of the organization internally and externally. Strong organization skills and ability to balance project work with urgent day-to-day tasks in a fast-paced environment. Highly proficient in MS Office applications, in addition to experience using CRM systems. The ability and flexibility to travel (within Canada) as required and work outside normal business hour.
