Role Summary:

Our Mississauga Office is looking for an experienced Designer to join the team. The Designer will be responsible for creating detailed sprinkler system designs using CAD software or BIM tools, ensuring optimal coverage and compliance with the National Building Code of Canada, NFPA standards, and provincial regulations. This is an existing vacancy.

Key Job Responsibilities:

Develop comprehensive drawings, specifications, and submittals for approval, permitting, and construction. Maintain accurate records of calculations, design notes, and correspondence.

Perform hydraulic calculations to determine pipe sizing, pressure requirements, and flow rates, ensuring the system will operate effectively.

Complete site visits as required to complete a detailed and accurate design.

Perform final reviews upon completion of installation to verify code compliance.

Complete close out documentation to customer and/or Authority Having Jurisdiction

Work on multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.

Coordination with Project Teams

Provide technical support and guidance to clients, responding to inquiries and explaining system features, limitations, and maintenance requirements.

Job Qualifications and Requirements:

Must have a minimum of 3-5 years of experience with professional design experience

Must have work experience in fire safety industry

Microsoft Office

Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD

Other software such as Revit, BIM, Navisworks is preferred

Excellent leadership and communication skills.

Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.

Excellent ability to manage multiple priorities and adhere to tight deadlines.

Customer-focused mindset, problem-solving abilities, and a proactive approach to managing

expectations.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.

The base salary range for this role is: $60,000 to $75,000
