Job Description
As anAudio Directorat UbisoftMontreal, you will define, guide, and elevate the audio vision of a game project. You will ensure audio quality, consistency, and integration as a core gameplay element, while aligning audio production with the overall creative direction.
What you’ll do

Define and document theaudio visionandaudio charterbased on creative direction and project references.

Communicate theaudio visionclearly to the team through visual, written, and audio references.

Guide audio strategy withinUnreal Enginewhile collaborating with teams to ensure audio systems support creative and technical goals across the project.

Identifytechnical audio needsand align with technical architects and technology teams.

Set themusical directionand collaborate on composer selection with creative leadership and sound studios.

Partner with programmers and technical directors todesign and implement audio integration pipelines.

Planaudio team resources and budgetsin collaboration with production partners.

Establish and improvebest audio production practicesto ensure data quality and workflow efficiency.

Supervise, review, and coach the audio team to maintainartistic and technical quality standardsand supportprofessional growth.
Qualifications
What you bring to the team
- Proven ability todefine and communicate an audio visionfor interactive projects.
- Strongleadership and collaboration skillswithin multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong understanding ofdigital audio workstationsand theaudio pipelinesused in creative production.
- Solid knowledge ofmusic composition, sound design, and interactive audio systems.
- Experience working withUnreal Enginein a game production environment.
- Experience guidingaudio integration in game enginesand real-time environments.
- Good understanding ofstudio recording practicesand professional audio equipment.
- Ability to provideclear, constructive feedbackthat supports quality and team growth.
- Curiosity and adaptability when learningnew tools and technologies.
