Registered Massage Therapy Program Instructor
About the role
Rhodes Wellness College is seeking faculty to join our Registered Massage Therapy (RMT) program in Vancouver at 116 West 6th avenue at our new campus.
We are building a faculty team that is thoughtful, evidence-informed, and committed to developing clinicians who can think critically, communicate effectively, and practice responsibly within a modern healthcare environment.
This is an opportunity to contribute to a new and evolving program within an established college, and to help shape how future RMTs think and practice.
Role Overview
We are hiring instructors and clinical supervisors across the RMT program. Instructors are hired into specific course areas based on their background and areas of strength.
Teaching areas may include:

Musculoskeletal anatomy
-
Orthopaedic assessment and treatment
-
Anatomy & physiology
-
Pathology
-
Neurology & neurological conditions
-
Professional practice, communication, and ethics
-
Clinical supervision in the student clinic
Delivery formats include both in-person and/or online teaching.
Instructors support student learning, deliver curriculum aligned with program objectives, and contribute to a safe, professional learning environment.
Clinical Supervision Opportunities
In addition to classroom instruction, we are hiring for clinical supervisors to support student learning in the on-site teaching clinic, and at outreach locations.
Clinical supervisors play a key role in bridging theory to practice, ensuring that students deliver safe, ethical, and patient-centred care while developing clinical reasoning and professional confidence.
Key Responsibilities

Deliver course material in alignment with program curriculum and learning outcomes

Facilitate active, experiential learning in classroom and/or clinical settings

Support development of clinical reasoning, communication, and professional behaviour
-
Provide clear, constructive feedback and evaluate student performance
-
Maintain a safe and ethical learning environment for students and patients/clients
-
Uphold standards related to consent, boundaries, and patient communication
What We’re Looking For
Required (RMT Applicants):
- Registered Massage Therapist in good standing
- Minimum 2 years of clinical practice
Also encouraged to apply:
- Physiotherapists, chiropractors, physicians, and other qualified professionals for academic courses
Ideal attributes:
- Evidence-informed, biopsychosocial approach
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to teach beyond technique (reasoning, consent, professionalism)
- Open to feedback and ongoing development
Teaching experience is an asset, but not required.
Schedule & Compensation

Online: 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM PST

In-person: 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM or 1:45 PM – 5:45 PM
-
No current weekend

Scheduling varies by semester
-
Contract roles, with employee option at 20+ hours/week

Competitive hourly compensation based on experience
