As An Accounts Receivable Manager Your Responsibilities Will Include Collections Management

  • Hands-on manager of the Collections Team, ensuring timely and effective collection of outstanding receivables.
  • Designing empathetic collection approaches that balance collections with customer retention and long-term relationship focus.
  • Negotiating with clients in non-payment situations where necessary; identifying and resolving recurring payment issues.
  • Providing recommendations and guidance to client-facing colleagues, including partners, to identify strategies to improve collectability.

Leadership

  • Supervising, training and coaching Collections Team to support their professional growth.
  • Developing and monitoring key performance indicators for accounts receivable, analyzing AR ageing, and presenting results to management as required.

Process improvement

  • Obtaining feedback on the team’s performance and executing strategies to implement improvements.
  • Providing improvements for the firm’s billing and collections process and policies to senior leaders.
  • Lead the transition from legacy ERP to Microsoft D365 Finance & Operations Credit and Collections module and participate in other cross functional projects.

Collaboration

  • Oversee complex receivable balances and liaise with legal team when required.
  • Collaborate with Finance, Treasury, and IT teams to ensure alignment on shared goals, including strong internal controls.
  • Manage external collection service as required

  • 7+ years’ experience working in accounts receivable with 3+ years as Manager or Supervisor
  • University degree or college diploma in business administration, finance or accounting would be an asset
  • Proven success as a people manager of a high functioning Collections Team.
  • Experience in financial services billing and collections practices.
  • Hands on experience with Microsoft D365 Finance & Operations Credit and Collections module.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
  • Proven ability to multi-task, prioritize, and consistently produce high-quality work while meeting deadlines in a demanding environment

Our salary ranges are reviewed annually, and where you land within the range depends on a mix of factors— your background, your skills, and how your contributions align with internal equity . To help start the conversation, the current salary range for this role is $87,300–$120,100 in Mississauga. If the role is available in other locations, the range may differ to reflect local market factors.
