Department: Hospitality – The Sportsbar LIVE!

Reports to: Director, Restaurants

POSITION SUMMARY

The Restaurant Manager at the Sportsbar will be responsible for delivering elevated food and beverage service and exceptional hospitality to our fans. The Manager’s leadership, passion and commitment to teamwork will inspire others, ensuring that the Canucks Sports & Entertainment (CSE) quality service and safety standards are upheld and the key objectives of the Hospitality department are met. The incumbent will be responsible for creating a positive and energetic work environment and should possess an entrepreneurial spirit. This fan-focused, front-line management role will ensure they have the best players on their team to execute the ultimate fan experience.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Working with the hospitality management team to identify, evaluate, and continually improve service strategies to always ensure our fans are always first Providing leadership, development, and motivation of team to ensure fan-focused delivery is always paramount through consistent delivery of high-quality food and beverage in a thrilling atmosphere Assisting the Director, Restaurants in driving revenue, forecasting, and budget execution Monitoring day to day and event activity to ensure proper planning and execution for events Coordinating and implementing promotions, events, and marketing campaigns at the Sports Bar Assisting in developing and creating new marketing and events initiatives for the Sports Bar Ensuring flow of events and guest satisfaction Assisting with developing, maintaining, and promoting the Sports Bar brand in various forms Reviewing inventory levels to ensure proper purchasing and warehouse goods are readily available Ensuring requirements for appropriate sanitation and food safety regulations are met Overseeing hiring and scheduling of staff Assisting in the development of short and long term financial and operational plans Assisting the Director, Restaurants in administrative duties in Premium Club Venues

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

Minimum 3 years' experience as a Shift Leader, Day Manager, Night Manager, Bar Manager or Assistant General Manager at a high volume, premium casual restaurant Bachelor’s degree in a related field such as hospitality or business administration Proven record of optimal guest service through providing conflict resolution and service recovery Proven skills inspiring and rallying a team to achieve its highest potential and then driving it to the next level Action-oriented personality; adaptive in approach to solving problems Excellent interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and verbal and written communication skills Strong dedication to the highest quality service standards Demonstrated experience in creating a work environment where staff development is encouraged and positive recognition is provided Experience in inventory and product ordering Experience in hiring and training hospitality staff Familiar with sanitation procedures and standard food and beverage equipment maintenance Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications Level 1 and Level 2 Food Safe Certification Serving It Right License Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
