They are seeking a hands-on Operations Manager to lead their Chilliwack facility, guiding a dedicated team while ensuring the products leaving the plant reflect the craftsmanship and attention to detail the company is known for.
This is a highly cross-departmental role with influence across the entire organization. Reporting to the General Manager, the Operations Manager will support and guide teams in quality control, inventory, production and manufacturing, customer service, shipping and receiving, and marketing, ensuring alignment and efficiency at every stage. You will make certain that production schedules are met, shipping deadlines are honored, and the company’s high standards are consistently maintained.
Collaboration is central to the company’s culture, so you will work closely with sales, shipping, maintenance, IT, and other interconnected functions to keep operations running smoothly and address challenges proactively. You will also oversee materials planning, international purchasing, and container scheduling, ensuring the right materials are on hand to meet demand.
Quality and process improvement are at the heart of this business. You will monitor warranty claims to identify opportunities to strengthen products and processes, lead lean initiatives to reduce waste and control costs, and track operational budgets for labor and materials with the same precision that defines the company’s approach to its craft.
Your leadership will extend to fostering a positive, engaged workplace by mentoring team leads, supporting employee development, and managing recruitment and performance reviews with fairness and transparency.
The ideal candidate will bring proven experience in operations, production, or plant management, along with strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills. Familiarity working within a manufacturing/production business is required, as will experience with scheduling, forecasting, inventory management, and workplace safety standards.
