We are growing and looking for a qualified Red Seal Heavy Duty Mechanic to join our team today in our Edmonton shop.

Duties & Responsibilities:
The Heavy Duty Journeyman Mechanic is responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and performing preventative maintenance on commercial transport vehicles; ensuring all work meets manufacturer’s specifications and legislated regulations; interpreting and processing work orders; and providing performance evaluations, mentorship, and supervision to the apprentice team.
- Ensure all equipment is maintained to the highest standards to maximize uptime and availability
- Inspect and test mechanical units (engines, transmissions, axles, brake systems) to locate faults and malfunctions
- Diagnose, adjust, repair, or replace parts and components on truck systems (chassis, frame, cab, engine & drivetrain, air brakes, steering, fuel, hydraulic, electrical, electronic)
- Adjust, repair, or replace parts and components on truck-trailer and trailer systems (structural, brake, electrical)
- Promote safety and quality; follow all health, safety, environmental policies and procedures
- Complete related duties as assigned
What You Bring:
- Licensed Red Seal Heavy Duty Journeyman Mechanic with minimum 5 years’ experience
- CVIP Certification (asset)
- Class 1 License (asset)
- Safety-first mindset; able to maintain a clean, organized work area
- Proven ability to interpret work orders/technical manuals and document repairs & parts accurately
- Strong diagnostics across truck and trailer systems; capable in scheduled PM and corrective repairs
- High attention to detail, strong organization, and clear communication across teams
- Knowledge of relevant legislation and regulatory standards
- Ability to pass a company paid criminal record check and pre-employment drug/alcohol screening
