Overview Of The Role The Finance Analyst will be responsible for the preparation and processing of accounting information and will act as a support to the accounting team with a focus on the Supply Chain and Logistics activities of the group. The Finance Analyst will be responsible for the preparation of the monthly and weekly financial reporting of the Supply chain group, analysis of the supply chain performances compared to targets and the monthly closing activities including the preparation and posting of entries.
Salary ranges from $66 960 to $87 890.
- Offers will vary commensurate with experience, education, skills, and training.
How you will make contributions that matter: The Finance Analyst will have the following responsibilities some of which are shared across the supply chain finance group:
- Support supply chain group for all related accounting operations
- Prepare & analyze weekly/monthly financial statements on costs
- Analyze for any GAPs from Budgets vs Actual and investigate variances
- Perform period-end close and other month-end tasks
- Prepare outstanding customer deductions for Warehouse or Delivery related deductions
- Review the sites inventory controls and documentation
- Maintain the warehousing & Delivery cost to serve metrics
- Work with the team to identify areas of improvement for tracking budget variances or development of effective reporting tools
- Providing support to management in budget preparations and analysis
- Prepare cost analysis as well as any other ad-hoc analysis of interest to management.
- Support the internal and external quarterly reviews and year end audits
You are best suited for the role if you have the following qualifications:
- University degree in accounting, finance or other relevant field
- 2-3 years of experience in financial analysis or a similar position
- Chartered Professional Accountants (CPA) designation considered an asset
- High level of precision, organizational and analytical skills, self-motivation and initiative
- Knowledge of BI (Business Intelligence) and AS/400 is an asset
- Excellent proficiency in Excel and the Office suite
- Bilingualism (French and English) spoken and written is essential as the candidate will have to work closely with teams located across Canada
