Job Summary: The Warehouse & VMI Associate supports daily warehouse operations including picking, packing, and shipping orders. This role requires basic ERP navigation, forklift certification, and attention to detail in handling inventory and non-conforming materials. Additionally, this associate manages our local VMI customers ensuring accurate inventory control and timely delivery of products to our customers. Safety-conscious, organized, customer focused, and eager to contribute to a fast-paced logistics environment.

Job Responsibilities: Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI)

  • Oversee all daily aspects of on-customer-site VMI program, including stock replenishment, and reporting.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and reconcile discrepancies.
  • Implement and monitor processes to improve efficiency and reduce errors.

Inbound & Inventory Management

  • Receive and inspect incoming shipments, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Accurately log materials into the inventory system and store them in designated locations, including those requiring special handling or conditions.
  • Navigate ERP system to log and locate materials.
  • Perform inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies.
  • Manage non-conforming materials per company procedures.

Order Fulfillment & Shipping

  • Pull inventory and associated documentation in alignment with order requirements.
  • Verify consistency between pick slips, inventory, and supporting documents.
  • Communicate any discrepancies or concerns to other departments.
  • Label and package materials to prevent damage during transit and meet customer specifications.
  • Prepare and verify outgoing domestic shipments to ensure completeness and compliance.
  • Generate required shipping documentation.
  • Operate forklift and other warehouse equipment safely.

General Duties

  • Maintain current certifications for forklift operation.
  • Operate strictly within the scope of certified activities.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment. Follow all safety protocols and use appropriate PPE.
  • Perform duties in compliance with AS/ISO standards and applicable accounting procedures.
  • Support other warehouse functions and perform additional tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in warehouse operations, inventory management, or logistics.
  • Strong knowledge of VMI processes and supply chain principles.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills for working with customers and internal teams.
  • Proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS) and Microsoft Office tools.
  • Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record required for travel to VMI locations.
