Reporting to the Senior Manager Claims Business Solutions, you will lead the delivery, sustainment, and continuous evolution of technology solutions supporting one of ICBC's largest and most critical business portfolios. Working closely with Claims leaders and stakeholders, you will help shape technology priorities, oversee application delivery, and maximize the value of Guidewire ClaimCenter and the broader Claims application portfolio through the delivery of new business capabilities, platform enhancements, and continuous improvement initiatives.   Main Responsibilities   Planning and directing the short- and long-term technology portfolio for the Claims business function.  

Collaborate with Claims business leaders to develop technology direction, priorities, and roadmaps that enable business objectives and maximize value from Guidewire ClaimCenter and the broader Claims application portfolio. Build and maintain effective working relationships with internal stakeholders, providing consultation and advice on business issues related to applications, technology capabilities, and delivery priorities. Define the scope and structure of new application-related projects originating from client stakeholders; develop project plans and coordinate schedules and deliverables with internal departments; monitor execution and provide governance oversight. Act as a key liaison between senior leaders and management within Claims and Information Services delivery and sustainment teams to address business priorities, operational requirements, technology capabilities, and modernization opportunities. Develop short- and long-term technology plans for Claims through participation in strategic, tactical, and operational planning activities. Partner with Claims leaders to establish portfolio priorities, balancing business value, risk, capacity, and operational sustainability. Oversee the evaluation, acquisition, implementation, and sustainment of software solutions and third-party products and services to ensure a consistent, aligned, and integrated approach. Lead modernization initiatives that improve service delivery, operational effectiveness, customer experience, and business outcomes. Select, train, develop, coach, and assess the performance of reporting staff.

    Position Requirements   You are a collaborative, adaptable leader who can navigate complexity, build trusted relationships, and deliver practical business outcomes.  

 At least 5 years of transformational delivery experience in a complex technical environment. Proven people leadership experience, facilitating cross-functional teams and delivering outcomes through collaboration and influence. Strong relationship-building skills and the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels. Clear communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts to diverse audiences. Confidence navigating ambiguity while staying focused on business value and outcomes. Experience balancing delivery goals, operational needs, changing priorities, and stakeholder expectations in a large enterprise environment. Experience with Agile delivery, SDLC practices, DevOps principles, cloud architecture, and modern application development approaches. Experience with large-scale business portfolios and stakeholders in a regulated, customer-focused environment. Risk management experience across technical, delivery, operational, and business considerations. Ability to build effective delivery practices that support transformation and modernization. Strong organizational and planning skills in a complex, multi-priority environment. Ability to identify business needs and shape delivery scope that balances cost, time, value, and risk. Strong business acumen, critical-thinking, and knowledge of financial and project governance practices.

  Work arrangements defined: 

Hybrid 8 – you will work a minimum of 8 days in a 4-week period at your primary office headquarters (typically 2 days per week). The remaining days will be remote within British Columbia.
