Description:
The Calgary office is seeking an experienced Project Manager with a strong foundation in Civil or Environmental Process Engineering to lead complex water and wastewater projects and contribute meaningfully to the growth of the team. This role provides the opportunity to oversee significant municipal infrastructure initiatives, guide multidisciplinary teams through all stages of project delivery, and develop strong, lasting relationships with clients across the region. Responsibilities
- Lead the delivery of complex water and wastewater treatment plant projects, pump stations, and municipal infrastructure from concept through commissioning.
- Oversee project planning, design development, budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation to ensure successful execution.
- Provide technical leadership and direction to multidisciplinary teams, ensuring high‑quality design outputs and effective coordination across disciplines.
- Manage contract administration activities, including tender preparation, evaluation, construction oversight, and project close‑
- Build and maintain strong relationships with municipal clients, regulatory agencies, and project stakeholders.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements, innovation, and technical excellence within project delivery.
- Support strategic business planning, proposal development, and broader company growth initiatives.
- Mentor and develop junior and intermediate staff, fostering a collaborative and high‑performing team environment.
- Promote and uphold Englobe’s health and safety standards across all project activities.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of progressive experience in water and/or wastewater treatment system design and municipal infrastructure projects.
- Demonstrated ability to independently manage complex, multi‑stakeholder projects from planning through construction.
- Registered P.Eng. or P.L.(Eng.) with substantial municipal project experience in Western Canada (Saskatchewan and Alberta preferred).
- Strong understanding of related disciplines, including electrical/controls, structural, and HVAC; multidisciplinary coordination experience is an asset.
- Proven leadership capabilities with the ability to guide teams, resolve technical challenges, and make informed project decisions.
- Excellent communication skills with a track record of building strong client relationships and delivering high‑quality service.
- Strong organizational and time‑management skills, with the ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment.
