Job Summary The Pricing Analyst is responsible for developing, analyzing, and maintaining pricing strategies and models for plumbing and HVAC products. This role supports sales, operations, and management teams by providing data-driven insights to maximize profitability, ensure market competitiveness, and support strategic decision-making.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain pricing models for plumbing and HVAC products, parts, and services.
  • Analyze market trends, competitor pricing, and customer demand to recommend pricing adjustments.
  • Partner with sales, purchasing, and operations to ensure pricing aligns with cost structures and profitability goals.
  • Monitor product costs to ensure accurate pricing.
  • Track gross margin performance by product line and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Support annual price reviews and promotional pricing campaigns.
  • Maintain pricing databases and ERP systems to ensure data accuracy.
  • Prepare regular pricing and profitability reports for senior management.
  • Identify pricing anomalies or inconsistencies and recommend corrective actions.
  • Provide pricing guidance and support to sales leaders and account managers. Work with procurement to understand cost fluctuations.
  • Communicate pricing changes internally and ensure timely implementation.
  • Implement pricing best practices and processes to enhance efficiency.
  • Participate in cross-functional projects to improve overall business performance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Business, Economics, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 2+ years of experience in pricing analysis, financial analysis, or related roles (experience in plumbing/HVAC, construction supplies, or distribution preferred).
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills; proficiency with Excel and ERP systems Knowledge of plumbing/HVAC products, services, and market trends a plus.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Data analysis and financial modeling
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
  • Knowledge of competitive market dynamics and cost structures.

Physical Demands & Work Environment This position may require up to 40 hours per week in a fast-paced office environment.

  • Prolonged sitting (up to 8 hours), with intermittent standing and walking throughout the shift
  • Continuous use of fingers, hands, and arms for computer and office-related tasks
  • Frequent use of office equipment such as computers, phones, and scanners (up to 8 hours daily)
  • Regular verbal communication via phone and in-person interactions (up to 6 hours daily)
