The** Catholic Independent Schools of the Vancouver Archdiocese ** (the CISVA) operates 46 schools – 40 elementary and 6 high schools. Located in Richmond near the waterfront village of Steveston, the school is a vibrant learning centre that nurtures and develops the whole child; mind, body and spirit. Faith formation is integrated throughout the curriculum as we help each student to develop a personal relationship with God.

JOB DESCRIPTION
St. Joseph the Worker Elementary is seeking a dedicated and compassionate
Education Assistant to join our school community. The Education Assistant
is a vital member of our multidisciplinary team, working under the direction
of classroom teachers and the Learning Support Teacher. The primary goal of
the EA is to assist in the delivery of educational programs and to support
students with diverse abilities in achieving their individual goals.
The key responsibilities of EAs are to:
- Support student independence
- Implement IEP strategies
- Foster inclusion
- Promote student well-being
- Collaborate and communicate with classroom teachers and the Learning Support Teacher
Preference will be given to candidates who:
- Are active members in a Catholic parish
- Are Certified as an Educational Assistant
