About the role

Well versed in the world of marketing, Cambrian’s team of Marketing Specialists are whole brain thinkers – hyper organized and data driven, yet ridiculously creative. Logical + visionary. Yes, we’re unicorns!

In this role those two opposing skills meet for a perfect marketing match. As a key role on the Marketing & Brand Experience Team, the Marketing Specialist will participate across the team in all marketing initiatives and will run point in their area of focus on various Marketing and Brand initiatives that lift and support Cambrian’s business goals and corporate strategy. At Cambrian, we save our members time and money, simplify their banking and help them solve their financial problems. The member experience is critical to who Cambrian is and the Marketing Specialist will be part of the team that designs that experience – and shouts about it from the rooftops through various advertising and marketing campaigns. We are a small, but mighty internal agency for the organization, and every project intersects with other departments so, being a strong collaborator is key.

Data and reporting are king for decision making, so having both a strong curiosity and desire to track back to the data will ensure the ‘why’ is always answered. From drafting a marketing brief to crafting the final report, and everything in between, the Marketing Specialist documents every step of the way and brings it all full circle. Being a project management whiz is critical, along with keen creative insight, the ability to write and edit to goals, and people skills - developing strong partnerships with internal collaborators and external partners. This all wraps up into the delivery of compelling and on-brand marketing initiatives that resonate across all member and prospective member touchpoints and journeys.

As a part of the Marketing & Brand Experience team, we’re seeking a Marketing Specialist with experience and expertise in one of two key focus areas.

Email & Digital:
The Marketing Specialist with a focus on Email & Digital, will be responsible for executing a marketing portfolio that includes leading the continued development of Cambrian’s Email Marketing strategy and execution, including the development of email audiences, journeys, content and reporting. They will work closely with Marketing, Sales Enablement, Digital Solutions, Data and BI team members to establish and mature Cambrian’s email marketing strategy and platform to ensure email journeys are effectively targeted, and fit seamlessly into an overall member experience journey map to build loyalty and achieve desired outcomes. They will align the role of email across the entire digital marketing funnel, by working closely with team members focused on Social Media, Product and Digital Marketing & Analytics team members. They will be responsible for all email analytics and in some cases, website, digital marketing and sales enablement analytics in support of journey development and campaign optimization. The Email & Digital Marketing Specialist will support and, in some cases, create digital ad campaigns, monitor performance and report on results. They will primarily provide back-up support for the Marketing Specialist with a focus on Digital Marketing, Reporting & Analytics, but may back up other roles as needed.

Social Media & Content:
The Marketing Specialist with a focus on Social Media & Content, will be responsible for executing a marketing portfolio that includes leading the social media lifecycle, from supporting development of both the channel-specific, and overall social media strategy to planning and execution of content development, to posting, monitoring and reporting. They will strategize and create content in various formats, including copy for social media, internal and external support content, video, radio, photography, etc, working with various department SMEs for content gathering. The Marketing Specialist with a focus on social media and content will be responsible for identifying, recommending and implementing all social media strategies, such as working with influencers, content partners, and liaising with members, employees, content creators, partners and mainstream media in coordination with marketing team members. They will primarily provide back-up support for the Marketing Specialist with a focus on Project, Product & Website, but may back up other roles as needed.
