Duties and responsibilities
- Completion of 4 years apprenticeship program
- Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing electrical issues as faulty wiring, malfunctioning circuits and equipment failure
- Properly and safely install, replace and repair electrical systems, lighting fixtures and electrical control and distribution equipment such as switches, relays and circuit breaker panels, including energy-efficient systems
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, circuit diagrams, and electrical code specifications to determine wiring layouts for new or existing installations, including in-slab installations.
- Pull wire through conduits and holes in walls and floors.
- Splice, join, and connect wire to fixtures and components to form circuits.
- Install brackets and hangers to support electrical equipment.
- Test continuity of circuits using test equipment to ensure compatibility and safety of the system following installation, replacement, or repair.
- Troubleshoot and isolate faults in electrical and electronic systems and remove and replace faulty components.
- Connect electrical power to audio and visual communication equipment, signaling devices, and heating and cooling systems.
- Plan and execute electrical installations, including EMT and conduit work.
- Conduct preventive maintenance programs and keep maintenance records.
- Support the growth and development of company culture
- Performs other duties as required

Physical Requirements
- Must be able to stand and/or be on their feet 10hrs day
- Must be able to lift 30-50lbs as needed
- Must be able to work in outdoor weather and/or unregulated temperatures for 10hrs a day
