Penn-co Construction is a leading construction company currently hiring a Yard Attendant to join our team working at our yard located in Blumenort, MB. As the Yard Attendant, you will work with the team organizing material and freight going to various construction sites.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload trucks in a safe and efficient manner

• Secure and strap loads in accordance with safety standards and transportation requirements

• Receive and inspect incoming deliveries, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail

• Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure materials are properly stored

• Keep the yard clean, organized, and free of hazards at all times

• Operate equipment, tools, and machinery safely, including performing basic maintenance as required

• Assist with packaging, staging, and moving freight as needed

• Perform general yard maintenance, including debris removal and grass cutting

• Support team members and contribute to overall yard operations

• Carry out additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Highly motivated and punctual

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Able to work alone and complete tasks that have been assigned while working in a team

• Construction experience is an asset

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

• Commitment to workplace safety and safe handling practices, complying with company policies

• Physical ability to lift, move, and handle materials in an outdoor environment

• Experience with equipment operation and load securement is considered an asset

• Ability to work in outdoor conditions, including heat, cold, dust, rain, and noise, while performing physically demanding tasks year-round

• Availability to work Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with overtime as required; start and end times may vary depending on seasonal demands
