Team Description The Dropbox Marketing Team shows the world how Dropbox makes work better. We're storytellers and strategists, exploring new ways to connect our products with the people who need them. The SEM Specialist is a key role within Dropbox’s Performance Marketing team. You are responsible for driving SEM planning, execution, and ongoing performance. You’ll have the unique opportunity to drive strategy and analysis across the search funnel, inclusive of both SEM and SEO. This will include campaign management and execution to achieve impactful results using advanced optimization tools and a data-driven approach.
This role blends strategic thinking with hands-on execution. You’ll uncover actionable insights, guide testing roadmaps, and partner cross-functionally to identify growth opportunities across the full search funnel. Your work will have visibility with senior leadership and play a critical role in shaping Dropbox’s global search marketing efforts.
Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end strategy, execution, and analysis of global SEM campaigns, including bidding, budget management, and performance optimization
- Own weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting, delivering performance insights, experiment recaps, and timely diagnosis of performance shifts
- Collaborate on SEO initiatives to drive visibility and impact across the full search funnel
- Build and maintain forecasting models and performance dashboards to support planning and optimization
- Conduct campaign and funnel analysis to uncover insights and inform growth strategies
- Design and execute A/B tests for ad copy, landing pages, and SEM tactics
- Partner cross-functionally with teams such as Web, Growth, and Data Science to aid in analysis and maximize impact
- Stay current on platform updates, search trends, and best practices to continuously evolve the program
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience managing and scaling global multi-million dollar SEM programs, with an emphasis on ROI, localization strategies, testing, and operational efficiency
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to build models, extract insights, and synthesize complex data from multiple sources into clear, actionable reporting
- Excellent cross-functional collaborator, experienced in managing internal stakeholders and external partners in a remote environment
- Proven project management skills; highly organized and detail-oriented with a track record of managing multiple initiatives simultaneously
- Familiarity with organic search metrics, user journeys, and how SEM and SEO intersect across the funnel
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) or equivalent practical experience
- Experience designing and testing landing pages to drive performance
- Familiarity with incrementality testing and modern performance measurement approaches
- AI/tech tool experience
- Prior experience in SaaS or a high-growth digital environment is a plus
Compensation Canada Pay Range
$103,300—$139,700 CAD
The range listed above is the expected annual salary/OTE for this role, subject to change.
Salary/OTE is just one component of Dropbox’s total rewards package. All regular employees are also eligible for the corporate bonus program or a sales incentive (target included in OTE) as well as stock in the form of Restricted Stock Units (RSUs).
