What we are looking for:

The ideal candidate will be a self-directed independent critical thinker who is well organized, collegial and committed to providing an exceptional caliber of service at MSH. To succeed in this role you must have a full understanding of or a willingness to learn hospital policies and procedures, be discreet and professional, able to accept and assume responsibility while making appropriate decisions based in accordance with your role. In this role you will be responsible for processing applications for appointment and reappointment of the medical/dental/midwifery staff in accordance with the requirements of the Public Hospitals Act and the Hospital By-Laws; developing and maintain associated databases; prepare reports for the credentials committee; and maintaining Medical Staff information of the Professional Staff portal of the Hospital website.

What you bring to the role:

  • Minimum of five (5) years coordination experience in a hospital, preferably with Physicians, Dentists & Midwives.
  • Exceptional computer skills and flexibility working with a variety of databases, and digital tools
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills with ability to manage on a human and operational level - demonstrated ability to collaborate and motivate peers
  • Flexible with superior organization skills and the ability to work efficiently to prioritize multiple, competing tasks in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Ability to consistently meet deadlines
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment and discretion, make decisions and take initiative while working with confidential information and responding to inquiries
  • Superior work ethic, professionalism and reliability; demonstrated commitment to providing outstanding customer service
  • Superior written/oral communication skills; excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills; ability to effectively convey factual information and detailed explanations
  • Demonstrated good attendance and performance records with the ability to maintain these same standards
  • Demonstrated commitment to a healthy and safe workplace for self and others (staff, patients, families, etc.) by taking all reasonable precautions and working in compliance with hospital related policies, health and safety legislation and best practices and completing relevant mandatory education as required

Work Schedule:

Primarily days, Monday to Friday. Please note schedules may change based on operational needs and requirements to include some evenings and early mornings.
