Business Administrator (Contract - Full Time)
Brookfield Residential YMCA at Seton
Salary: $17/hour
Start Date: May 25th, 2026
End Date: July 17th, 2026

  • This position is funded by the CSJ program. Please note succesfull candidates must be:

  • Between 15 and 30 years of age (inclusive) at the start of employment;

  • Be a Canadian Citizen, Permanent Resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act;

  • Have a valid Social Insurance Number at the start of employment; and

  • Be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial or territorial legislation and regulations.

International students are not elifible for the CSJ program.

What qualifications are we looking for?

We strive to ensure our employees are a fit based on their strengths, interests, and future goals. The successful candidate will have the following:

Qualifications:

  • Detail oriented with strong organizational skills and proficiency in MS Excel and MS Word

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and communicate effectively

  • Previous administrative experience is an asset

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in handling confidential documents

  • Familiarity with scheduling systems or tools

  • Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability

  • Three professional references

  • Evidence of a clear Police Information Check with Vulnerable Sector search

What does this role look like at YMCA Calgary?

Duties and responsibilities include:

  • Assist with day-to-day business unit tasks and administrative support
  • Validate and maintain schedules, ensuring accuracy and consistency
  • Review and organize documentation, including contracts, folders, and insurance records
  • Prepare and manage weekly schedules for the team
  • Maintain organized filing systems (both digital and physical)
  • Support internal coordination and communication across departments
