About the role
We are seeking a Controls Engineer to support, maintain, and enhance PLC-based automation and control systems within our client’s high-volume manufacturing facility located near Woodstock, ON .

Key Responsibilities
- Program, troubleshoot, and optimize PLC-based control systems
- Support and maintain production equipment, automation systems, and manufacturing processes
- Modify and maintain control systems, safety circuits, and automation hardware
- Diagnose electrical and control system issues using strong root cause analysis techniques
- Ensure compliance with industrial electrical standards and machine safety requirements
- Perform control system backups, version control, and maintain accurate technical documentation
- Support high-uptime, continuous or high-volume manufacturing operations
- Contribute to continuous improvement and reliability-focused automation initiatives
Education & Experience
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Hands-on experience with PLC programming, troubleshooting, and industrial automation systems.
- Experience working with safety circuits and industrial control architectures.
- Strong computer proficiency and technical documentation skills.
