Company: Pario Engineering & Environmental Sciences LP - Sciences Structural Forensic Engineer - Full Time (Calgary, Alberta, Canada) Pario Engineering and Environmental Services is currently seeking a Structural Forensic Engineer who is dynamic, motivated, and passionate about their career to support the Calgary area. The successful applicant will be responsible for performing forensic investigations for structural, building envelope, as well as building code compliance issues. Strong written and verbal communication skills are a must. Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite of programs is a must. Good presentation skills are an asset. Must be able to communicate effectively with clients and other stakeholders. Role Responsibilities: Assess, analyze and report on the cause and origin of structural failures Interview witnesses, service personnel and other local officials Provide structural designs for restoration and renovation purposes Develop and complete full working drawings for building department acceptance Complete complex or innovative projects of any size where new or innovative design approaches are required Lead project(s) from start to finish Provide clean, accurate, and timely designs Education, Knowledge and Experience Required: Minimum bachelor's degree in civil/Structural Engineering required Professional Engineering license, or the ability to be licensed in the Province of Alberta required Minimum 4-5 years’ experience. Preferably, experience includes strong residential design experience and/or equivalent work experience Experience within the insurance and legal industry is an asset A demonstrated track record of taking projects to successful completion Proficient in standard Microsoft Office (MS Word, Outlook & Excel) Expert knowledge and understanding of the Regional Building Code Hand-on construction experience would be an asset Positive, self-driven, motivated, personal attitude A willingness and passion to support the marketing and sales department through attendance at presentations and industry events Customer facing experience: Ability to discuss projects budgets with clients and maintain continuous communications throughout the project Job Requirements: Must possess a valid Canadian Class G driver's license (applicable by the province of employment). Must possess a reliable transportation and have access to a personal vehicle to meet the travel requirements of the position.
