- Minimum grade 12 or equivalent
- Personal Support Worker, Orthopaedic Certificate and/or appropriate other related Health Care Certificate/Program required
- Current BCLS & First Aide Certificates essential
- Recent Community College course on musculoskeletal assessment and/or any other health care related program (within 2 years)
- Previous Hospital/Health Care experience
- Previous Emergency Experience preferred Current basic computer skills
- Effective written and oral communication skills and interpersonal skills to work as part of a multidisciplinary team Must be a self-directed individual with well-developed organizational skills
- Possess the ability to take initiative and work with minimal supervision Must have the physical requirements to complete the job duties
- A positive attendance record is required
Position Summary:
- Responsible and accountable for the provision of patient care to a specific group of patients under the direction of a Registered Nurse and in accordance with the standards set by the Hospital
- Performs various patient care duties and related non-professional activities necessary in meeting patient’s personal needs and comfort
- Assists in the maintenance of a safe, clean and comfortable environment Other duties as assigned and as per job description
