Position Overview

The accounting clerk reports to the Controllers and is responsible for processing supplier invoices, including accurate data input and issuing payments as required. The incumbent will also assist the AR function and the casino accounting as needed.

Education And Experience

Accounting Diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution preferred Previous accounting experience preferred

Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

Knowledge of computerized accounting and payroll systems Interpersonal skills to maintain good working relationships with employees and staff Aptitude for accuracy and detail in their work Analytical ability and previous experience with corporate accounting preferred Working knowledge of Microsoft applications (i.e. Word, Excel, Dynamics) an asset Must be able to handle confidential information in an ethical and professional manner Aptitude to work on multiple projects within established deadlines and time constraints, supporting a variety of individuals

Accounts Payable

Review, verify and code vendor invoices Daily entry of Accounts Payable invoices Assist in preparing the weekly cheque runs, supplier reconciliations and monthly obligations Perform all other duties and special projects as assigned
