Digital Content Coordinator

This is a contract position that is vacant. Candidates must be able to work full time hours during this period.
Canada’s Wonderland is looking for a Digital Content Coordinator to join the marketing team to help bring the park story to life! Responsibilities include the creation and distribution of multimedia content to be published on digital channels (social media, website, mobile app, email marketing, earned media and other digital platforms). They must be an excellent storyteller who offers innovative and creative ideas that add value to projects. This position will bring story ideas to the table and create high quality, engaging content that will appeal to a wide audience.
The ideal candidate is a solutions-oriented self-starter behind the camera and in the edit suite, who can keep our business goals and mission in mind when making decisions. The successful team member understands how to tailor the story to different platforms, including social media, mobile app, website, and earned media.
Responsibilities:
Create (write, produce, shoot, edit) video and photo content, plus design static assets for social media, the web, posters, newsletters etc. Collaborate with various internal park departments to determine story opportunities Often responsible for all aspects of creating multimedia pieces, including: Concept development and brainstorming, Scripting, Screening, Editorial - picture and sound, making revisions at stages as necessary, “Hands-on" editing of all projects on in-house edit suite. Ability to finish videos and photos for digital output (color correction/balance and sound design/audio mixing). Execution and management of daily production and post-production tasks, editing and web deliverability to meet required deadlines. Take photos/videos of park events. Assist with writing and editing blog content. Design work for posters and printed materials. Manage equipment and resources to produce necessary content. Media/Digital Asset Management of video and other files. Other duties may be assigned.
Qualifications:
At minimum a collegiate junior or senior majoring in marketing, communications, public relations, film studies, video production or a discipline emphasizing storytelling and multimedia content creation a plus. Experience in producing, editing, and filming videos. Proficient with a variety of equipment including GoPros and DSLR cameras. Experience with drones is an asset. Proficient in the Adobe Creative Suite, including Premiere Pro, Photoshop, After Effects, etc. Keen eye and passion for interactive, multimedia storytelling - packaging new and historic content effectively to create compelling pieces. Strong broadcast and multimedia writing skills. Strong musical and audio sensibility. Must be detail-oriented and maintain high levels of quality control for various elements during productions, editing, and final delivery of content. Highly energetic, ability to meet ongoing deadlines. Easily embrace new production technologies. Appreciation of the amusement park industry. Demonstrate effective communication skills and have the ability to interact with the public and management team in a positive, courteous, professional and fun manner. Ability to work nights, weekends and holiday periods as need to meet business needs. Portfolio of recent creative work is required.
