What You’ll Do
- Overall responsibility for operational and financial performance.
- Oversee daily operations across our sawmill, planer, shipping, and maintenance departments.
- Responsible for safety, efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness across all departments.
- Lead, develop, and engage a high-performing team aligned with Interfor’s core values and safety standards.
- Drive mill strategy and operational improvement initiatives to maximize margins.
- Ensure the operation is in compliance with all regulations and internal policies and procedures.
- Foster clear, consistent communication and strong employee relations to support organizational goals.
What You Offer
- Proven safety leadership. You lead by example always maintaining the highest standards with respect to safety.
- Minimum of 10 years of multi-department supervisory experience within the wood products industry.
- Thorough knowledge of lumber manufacturing including equipment, processes, products, and optimization.
- Proven track record in continuous improvement and performance management.
- Mechanical and electrical aptitude is considered an asset.
- You are a collaborative leader with strong problem solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
