About the role

Environmental Health and Safety Consulting Richmond, BC Salary Range: $95,000 - $105,000 Team Leaders at Pinchin are organized and efficient project managers with awesome people skills.

They have solid backgrounds in their area of expertise ( in this case Hazardous Materials management ) and provide guidance and mentorship to develop the strengths of the team. We need a great Team Leader in our Richmond, BC office.

At our Richmond office you will find a group of friendly, driven coworkers. The work arrangement is hybrid, but often times we choose to be in the office to benefit from the collaboration and cohesiveness that results when we work together. Richmond is one of our busiest offices, but we still find time for peer recognition and social gatherings.

Awesome people skills aside, our Team Leader will need to be well-versed in managing hazardous building materials projects. If you know your fair share about asbestos, lead, and silica, you could become one of our expert consultants who will develop and execute solutions to keep our clients’ spaces healthy and hazard-free.

How will you use your Hazardous Materials expertise?

  • Ensure technical excellence and quality in the delivery of all services/products
  • Assign, schedule and oversee work completed by Project Managers, Project Coordinators, Technologists and support staff assigned to division
  • Proactively manage staffing levels and project costs
  • Collaborate with team members across divisions to achieve effective planning, coordination and resource allocation
  • Ensure technical excellence and quality in the delivery of all services/products
  • Collaborate with other Team Leaders and Operations Managers to recognize and target business development opportunities
  • Support marketing and business development activities for the division; including representing the company at trade shows, conferences, client and association events etc.
  • Proactively manage staff by managing expectations for training and career/skills development
  • Effectively manage client concerns to maintain strong client partnerships.
  • Foster a supportive and communicative work environment.
  • Participate in the preparation of annual operational budgets and operational/strategic business plans

Qualifications Required For The Team Leader Role As we review submissions from applicants, we will be looking for a solid background in Hazardous Materials project success and experience in effective communications with clients.

We will also look for proven ability to effectively manage staff, maintain positive morale, and lead a culture of teamwork and service excellence.

A valid driver’s license, insurance and car are required for this role. Depending on our clients’ requirements, you may be required to undergo security clearances and, periodically, drug and alcohol testing in order to gain access to certain job sites.
