Your Role

Reporting to our Corporate Director of Engineering & Projects, you will work on a wide range of projects including small and large-scale renovations, capital improvements and maintenance of hotels and commercial property, new build construction projects and property conversions. The Project Manager is primarily responsible for:

  • Leading renovation and development projects from initiation to completion.
  • Acting as a primary liaison between ownership, operations, design consultants, contractors, third party project management companies and internal teams during the project lifecycle.
  • Developing and managing project budgets, forecasts, and cost-control measures.
  • Establishing and maintaining contractor and vendor relationships.
  • Preparing Project scopes, RFBs, and sourcing the right trades to quote on each project.
  • Reviewing and assessing bids/quotes and negotiating the best pricing for each project.
  • Collaborating with architects, interior designers, and brand teams to develop and review design concepts.
  • Conducting site visits, monitoring progress, and resolving project issues.
  • Supporting hotel maintenance and management teams to complete capital and small-scale renovation projects.

What You Bring to the Table

  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive project management experience within hospitality, real estate or construction industries.
  • Bachelor’s degree or certificate in architecture, engineering, construction management, project management or a related field.
  • Ability to understand and execute engineering/construction plans/specifications, methods, and procedures.
  • Experience in design coordination and construction oversight...Design flair is an asset.
  • Strong knowledge of building systems, design standards, construction methodologies, and project delivery methods.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills and experience managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Proficiency in project management tools (MS Project, Primavera, Smartsheet), Drawing/Design tools and design review platforms.
