Job Details:
Position Title: Project Coordinator
Status: Full-Time Support
Hours: 40hours per week
Faculty/Department: Capital Development and Facilities Management
Campus/Location: This position works fully on-campus stationed at North Campus and by traveling to Lakeshore Campus
Salary: FT Support Payband: H
Salary Range: $37.34 - $43.18
Starting Salary: $37.34
Progression through the payband is in accordance with the increments in the payband as outline in the Full-Time Support Staff Collective Agreement based on actual service in the payband.
About the Capital Development and Facilities Management at Humber:
Capital Development & Facilities Management is responsible for new construction and renovation projects and provides project design, planning and space allocation services to improve and expand Humber's campus environment. We maintain all college buildings and grounds to provide a safe, clean, healthy and well-maintained campus environment that supports well-being and promotes excellence in teaching and learning at Humber. We also lead the college’s sustainability programs through the Office of Sustainability.
About the Project Coordinator Role:
Under the general direction of the Manager, Renovations & Capital Works, the Project Coordinator coordinates Capital Work Requests and Capital projects. This includes consulting with clients to determine requirements, develop scope of work, working with architects and engineers, generating drawings and specifications for tender packages, space planning and design, selection and procurement of FF&E, scheduling deliveries and installations, procurement and oversight of contractors, preparing and maintaining project budgets and schedule, and communication with stakeholders.
Under the direction of the Manager, Renovations & Capital Works, the Project Coordinator will produce AutoCAD design and construction drawings and coordinate with other engineers for structural, electrical and mechanical for drawings and specifications. This position requires an Ontario driver's license and access to your own vehicle.

Education
- A four (4) year degree in the field of Interior Design is preferred.
- A degree in Architectural Technology will be considered.
- Postgraduate certificate in Project Management is desirable.
Experience/Skills

Minimum of three (3) years experience in an interior design environment

Experience coordination renovations in educational and other institutional environments is desirable.

Experience working with clients and stakeholders, external consultants and contractors, external vendors and suppliers. Skills:

Proficiency using AutoCAD and MS Office programs;

Demonstrated ability in planning and design;

Understanding of project management methodology;

Understanding of electrical and mechanical systems;

Excellent organizational, planning and coordination skills;

The ability to schedule effectively and maintain tight deadlines;

Excellent oral, written, and digital communication skills;

Strong interpersonal relations/customer service skills;

Demonstrated knowledge of codes, regulations and standards;
