Position Summary... Working as a Produce Stocker at Walmart Canada is a great opportunity to build valuable skills in a fast‑paced retail environment. The Produce Stocker delivers excellent customer service by living Walmart’s values, maintaining a well‑organized and fully stocked produce area, and supporting the sale of fresh products. WHAT YOU'LL DO Keep the Produce Area Organized and Ready Keeps the produce department clean, organized, and neatly zoned so it is ready for customers at all times. Check Product Quality and Freshness Rotates products regularly and removes expired items to ensure freshness and quality. Ensure Accurate Pricing and Signing Makes sure all produce is correctly priced and signed, following proper procedures for ordering, clearance, markups and markdowns, labels, and signage. Follow Food Safety and Cold Chain Standards Follows food safety, sanitation, and cold chain procedures, including temperature checks, thermometer use, proper food handling, and compliance with sell by and expiration dates. Stock Merchandise and Set Displays Stocks and downstocks merchandise as needed, applies product protection when required, and sets modulars, including flex modulars and shelf caps, to keep the department fully stocked. Follow Health and Safety Guidelines Follows all Health and Safety policies to help maintain a safe and clean work environment. Flexibility (Availability/Work Schedule) - Be open to working a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on business needs. Your adaptability helps ensure the store runs smoothly and customers receive consistent, high-quality service. POTENTIAL CHALLENGES IN THIS ROLE High Task Volume in a Fast-Paced Environment - Manages overnight hours effectively and planning accordingly to stay energized and focused. - Effectively manages work hours and plans ahead to maintain energy and focus throughout the shift. - Handles a fast-paced workload with efficiency, ensuring large volumes of restocking and recovery are completed accurately and on time. Physical Demands - Performs physical tasks such as standing for extended periods, bending, and lifting inventory, equipment, or supplies weighing up to 20 lbs., and occasionally up to 50 lbs. - Performs repetitive tasks such as stocking, zoning, and organizing products with attention to detail and consistency to uphold store standards.
