Overview The Ontario Energy Board (OEB) is currently seeking an energetic and collaborative individual to join our team as a Co-op Student in the Office of the Corporate Secretary.
The Office of the Corporate Secretary encompasses a range of responsibilities but is primarily focused on facilitating effective communication between the Board of Directors and Management. It plays a critical role in overseeing corporate governance practices, including the logistics, documentation and organization of Board of Directors and Committee meetings.
Responsibilities You will have the opportunity to gain experience in a broad range of areas, which will include the following:
- Corporate Governance
- Organizational Governance
- Environmental Social and Governance
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Detail-oriented with excellent organization skills
- Exemplary research skills
- Motivated independent and critical thinker who can also work in a team.
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
- Analytical thinker with problem-solving skills
- Experience with Microsoft Office programs, and familiarity with Adobe Acrobat
