RESEARCH INSTITUTE OF THE MUHC
The Research Institute of the McGill University Health Centre (RI-MUHC) is a world-renowned biomedical and hospital research centre. Located in Montreal, Quebec, the Institute is the research arm of the McGill University Health Centre (MUHC) affiliated with the Faculty of Medicine at McGill University. Position summary
Department / Research Program: Translational Research in Respiratory Diseases (RESP)

A Laboratory Assistant’s tasks involve lab-related duties and clerical functions.

General Duties

Under the direction of the immediate supervisor, the incumbent:

  • Helps in preparing and setting up materials and equipment,
  • Assists in laboratory projects and experiments ,
  • Assists in results recording,
  • Assists in Grant application submissions,
  • Collects and maintains data and enrollment records,
  • Ensures compliance with protocol guidelines,
  • Accomplishes any other administrative/clerical tasks as required by the immediate supervisor.

Education / Experience

Education: Bachelor's Degree

Work Experience: 1-2yrs

Required Skills

  • Excellent French and English, spoken and written,
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills,
  • Ability to work independently or with teams with minimum supervision.

Additional information

Status : Temporary Occasional: 5 hours/week
Pay Scale: Commensurate with education & work experience. $16.14 - $26.43/h
Work Shift: Variable Schedule: 8:30 am -1:30 PM
Work Site: 5252 boul. de Maisonneuve
