Purpose:

Under the management of the Delivery Supervisor, the Dispatcher will maximize fleet efficiency by scheduling and coordinating the delivery activities of drivers as trained and specified in the company’s Policies and Procedures and Standard Operating Procedures.

Salary: $20.19/hr
Schedule: Saturday to Wednesday: 12:30PM-9PM
Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Job Responsibilities:

  • Maintains a strong working knowledge of applicable Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and adheres to the Company’s commitment to and policy on Code of Conduct
  • Adheres to organizational and individual health and safety responsibilities in the workplace
  • Coordinate and communicate all delivery orders with couriers to ensure timely and accurate dispatch
  • Ensures all shipments are properly scanned, routed, labeled, and verified prior to release, in accordance with established shipping procedures and guidelines.
  • Report and escalate all delivery deficiencies to the appropriate department
  • Use computer skills to create reports, and to monitor orders and routes
  • Internally there is interaction with staff and management of all local and regional internal departments including but not limited to: Finance, Human Resources, Operations, Pharmacy, Customer Service, Sales and QAQC as applicable
  • Externally there is interaction with couriers, transportation companies and patients.
  • Learn and help daily with medical supplies picking and packing
  • Perform general housekeeping duties
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma.

  • Class G License

  • Minimum 1-year full time working experience as a dispatcher

  • Good knowledge of the working areas and mapping logistics

  • Health and safety awareness training is an asset

  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to multi-task and handle fluctuating workloads
  • Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and time-management skills
  • Excellent continuous improvement skills
  • Proven ability to adhere to standards & procedures and maintain confidentiality
  • Excellent customer service skills and the ability to collaborate with all levels both inside and outside the organization
  • Strong computer skills in MS Office
