About the role
Job Description We currently have a job opening for a Civil Engineering Technologist (NOC: 22300) in our Whitehorse office to join our growing team. You will join a dynamic team of engineers and technologists to provide design and construction inspection for a variety of clients with a focus on roads, site servicing, water distribution systems, wastewater collection systems, and stormwater management projects.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Creating 2D conceptual drawings.
- Designing infrastructure, and commercial/land development projects with Civil 3D.
- Creating conceptual and preliminary designs.
- Preparing detailed design drawings.
- Supporting with tender documents.
- Supporting with engineering analysis.
- Supporting with technical report submissions.
- Conducting field surveys and data collection.
- Performing construction inspection and assisting with contract administration.
- Coordinating and communicating with multi-discipline project teams.
Job Requirements
- Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology from an accredited post-secondary institution.
- 1+ years of relevant experience in civil design.
- Experience in using theodolite and level.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Valid Driver's License (required).
- Experience with construction inspection is an asset.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Excellent attention to detail, accuracy and quality.
- Ability to work within tight deadlines and schedules.
