Job Overview

We are looking for a  Team Lead to join our growing team. This leadership role is central to maintaining technical excellence, managing workload, and fostering strong client relationships, all while supporting the continued growth of our service lines.

Key Responsabilities:

• Leadership & Team Development

  • Forecast workload with Engineering Managers to meet staffing targets and coordinate assignments across the team.

  • Motivate, train, mentor, and when necessary, discipline direct reports in alignment with company policies and guidelines.

  • Support career development by creating individual Career Paths, conducting performance appraisals (with Engineering Manager input), and encouraging continuous learning.

  • Share expertise across offices and collaborate to strengthen the overall technical capability and efficiency of the service line.

  • Ensure all teammates follow company and client safety policies and practices.

  • Obtain a Leadership in Safety Excellence certificate as part of your leadership role.

  Technical Oversight & Project Delivery

  • Provide technical oversight on single- and multi-discipline projects, contributing your design expertise as required.

  • Stamp your own designs and reports as well as those of engineers-in-training under your peer review.

  • Act as Project Manager, Relationship Manager, or Technical Specialist on projects, ensuring high-quality and timely delivery to clients.

  • Assist Engineering Managers with proposal preparation and business development efforts.

  • Maintain technical capability, stay current with changes in your discipline, and help establish operating standards to manage unusual conditions effectively.

  • Identify completed projects that qualify for technical awards and ensure submissions are prepared.

Qualifications & Experience:

• P.Eng., C.E.T., PL.Eng., or AScT designation (Western Canada).

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Diploma in Engineering Technology.

• 8+ years of experience under the supervision of a Senior Engineer.

• Valid Class 5 driver’s license.

• Eligible for Federal Security Clearance for institutional projects.

• Proven design and project management expertise.

• Ability to balance multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

• Proficient in MS Office 365, SharePoint, Deltek Vision, and discipline-specific design software.
