Power Platform Developer (Pro-Code Experience) – Contract (6-Month Term) – Mississauga, ON (Hybrid) - Pay rate ($30-$32/hr CAD)

Our client is seeking a Power Platform Developer (Pro-Code Experience) in Mississauga, ON. This is a hybrid contract opportunity focused on designing, developing, and enhancing enterprise business applications and automation solutions using the Microsoft Power Platform ecosystem while leveraging .NET technologies for advanced integrations and custom development.

Role Description This position is for a Power Platform Developer responsible for building scalable and maintainable business solutions across Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, Dataverse, and Copilot Studio. The ideal candidate will be a Power Platform-first developer who understands when to leverage low-code capabilities and when to extend solutions using pro-code development. The role includes designing end-to-end solutions, developing integrations, implementing business logic, and supporting enterprise application delivery within an Agile environment. In addition to Power Platform development, the successful candidate will contribute to backend services, APIs, and existing .NET/C# applications to support broader business and integration requirements.

The candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, architecture teams, and technical teams to deliver innovative, secure, and scalable solutions while adhering to enterprise governance and application lifecycle management standards.

Responsibilities include: Power Platform Solution Development

  • Design, develop, and enhance business applications using Power Apps (Canvas and Model-Driven Apps)
  • Build and maintain workflows, automations, and integrations using Power Automate
  • Create reports, dashboards, and data visualizations using Power BI
  • Develop AI-powered solutions and conversational experiences using Copilot Studio
  • Design and manage Dataverse data models, tables, relationships, and environments
  • Implement governance, environment strategy, and Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) best practices
  • Build reusable components and promote standardization across enterprise solutions Integration & Pro-Code Development
  • Design, develop, and maintain REST APIs and backend services using C# and .NET
  • Extend Power Platform solutions through custom connectors and API integrations
  • Integrate enterprise applications, cloud services, and third-party platforms
  • Implement advanced business logic and functionality not suitable for low-code solutions
  • Support and enhance existing .NET/C# applications as required Data & Integration Management
  • Design and support data models across Dataverse, SQL Server, and enterprise systems
  • Develop and optimize queries, integrations, and data pipelines
  • Ensure data consistency, quality, and synchronization across business applications
  • Collaborate with reporting and analytics teams to support enterprise reporting requirements Solution Design & Stakeholder Collaboration
  • Partner with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions
  • Contribute to architectural decisions regarding low-code versus pro-code implementation approaches
  • Provide project effort estimates and proactively identify risks, dependencies, and technical constraints
  • Participate in solution design reviews and technical planning sessions Agile Delivery & Application Support
  • Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, demos, and retrospectives
  • Provide Level 2 and Level 3 production support for enterprise applications
  • Contribute to technical documentation, knowledge transfer, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Support testing, deployment, and post-production stabilization activities Minimum Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience developing solutions using Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, Copilot Studio, and Dataverse
  • Experience designing and implementing Power Platform solutions in enterprise environments
  • Strong experience with data modeling concepts, SQL, and relational databases
  • Experience developing applications, APIs, or integrations using C# and .NET
  • Experience integrating systems using APIs, connectors, cloud services, and enterprise applications
  • Understanding of Power Platform governance, environment management, and Application Lifecycle Management (ALM)
  • Experience working with Azure services or comparable cloud platforms
  • Strong functional testing mindset with excellent attention to detail
  • Solid understanding of Agile/Scrum delivery methodologies
  • Understanding of UI/UX design principles and user-centric application development
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities

Desirable Qualifications

  • Experience developing custom connectors and advanced integrations within Power Platform
  • Experience with Dataverse architecture, security roles, and data governance
  • Knowledge of Azure Functions, Logic Apps, API Management, or other Azure integration services
  • Microsoft Power Platform certifications
  • Experience building AI-powered solutions using Copilot Studio
  • Experience supporting enterprise-scale applications in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience working within a contract-to-hire or consulting environment
  • Understanding of DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and release management practices
