About the role
Fraser Valley Refrigeration is looking for an organized and well versed AutoCad DRAFTSPERSON to create CAD models for our clients. The successful candidate will be completing singular drawings such as P&IDs, layout drawings, electricals and full project sets as per project manager’s preliminary sketches.
Overview Our company has four departments including: Ammonia refrigeration, Freon refrigeration, HVAC and Service, all located at 26121 Fraser Highway. With that we serve a wide range of clients as well, from large process cooling plants to family owned businesses throughout the lower mainland. We pride ourselves on our attention to detail and excellent customer service skills to always go above and beyond.
Responsibilities
- Use CAD software to develop 2D and 3D models of structures, components, and systems
- Prepare complete documentation packages for engineers and clients
- Time management skills to complete error-free work within the required timeframe
- Developing product designs from scratch
- Presenting rough design drafts for client approval to project managers, verify drawings are correct and implement feedback as needed
- Updating existing drawings
- Excellent technical design skills
- Good communication skills
- A keen eye for design aesthetic and detail
Requirements
- Available Monday to Friday
- Previous experience using AutoCAD software and general computer skills
- Ability to multitask and manage several projects at a time
- Experience in refrigeration drafting is an asset but not a requirement
- Valid drivers license required
As a Drafter, you will play a crucial role in the design and development process by creating accurate and detailed technical drawings. Your expertise in CAD software and drafting principles will contribute to the successful completion of projects. Please note you will be working alongside a senior draftsperson who has maintained a library of standard drawing templates that may be used.
