The Global Strategic Supplier Management (SSM) Team at KPMG focuses on maintaining and optimizing supplier relationships through proactive governance, compliance management, and strategic alignment with KPMG’s operational processes. Transitioning from a limited focus on "key" suppliers to a broader approach, the team now oversees all suppliers that present material risks, significant spending, or strategic relevance.
Global Strategic Supplier Management (SSM) collaborates with stakeholders across KPMG functions and member firms, to optimize supplier relationships, balancing benefits and risks. It manages supplier services across Cloud-Based Solutions (IaaS, SaaS, PaaS), Software, Labor, Bespoke Services, Managed Services, and Project Resources, covering areas like Relationship Management, Compliance, Software Asset, and Portfolio Management.
Focus Areas for FY29 are Software Asset Management, Supplier Assurance Management and Relationship Management and Governance.
What you will do:
- Own and manage strategic relationships with key suppliers, governing contracts, performance, compliance, and spend
- Support senior stakeholders and suppliers to optimise post-contract processes and efficiencies for KPMG
- Monitor and report on supplier performance, liaising with other managers and service delivery teams
- Drive process improvements and realise opportunities in supplier management to maximise impact and effectiveness
- Ensure smooth operations of compliance audits and remediation of findings related to supplier governance
- Lead governance meetings and negotiations, facilitating collaboration between KPMG and supplier executives
What you bring to the role:
- A minimum of 5 to 7 years of experience in relationship management, with a demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong professional relationships.
- An undergraduate degree from an accredited university or college
- ISO 27001 Certified ISMS Foundation (CIS F) certification (or equivalent), including proven hands-on experience in developing and managing a Risk Treatment Plan
- Certified Supplier Performance Professional (or an equivalent credential) illustrating expertise in supplier performance management
- Preferred qualifications include ITIL Foundation certification with demonstrated experience in Supplier Management
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to convey complex concepts effectively
- Proven experience in managing staff augmentation and development resources, with a solid understanding of various Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodologies, including Agile, Lean, and Waterfall

KPMG Ontario Region Pay Range Information
The expected base salary range for this position is $90,500 to $130,000 and may be eligible for bonus awards. The determination of an applicant’s base salary within this range is based on the individual’s location, skills & competencies, and unique qualifications. In addition, KPMG offers a comprehensive and competitive Total Rewards program.
