Job Description: Reporting to the Program Services Manager of Geriatric Services Resource Team (GSRT). The Confidential Administrative Assistant supports the GSRT Physicians and Manager positions, as well as the Geriatric psychiatrist. The incumbent is accountable for contributing to the efficient operation of the Geriatric Services by providing timely and accurate confidential secretarial and administrative assistance.
Human Resources Exemption: No
Experience
- 3-5 years experience in an administrative support position
Education
- Grade 12 plus graduation from an approved Office Education training program
Other Education and Training
- Basic medical terminology
Competencies
- Public relations skills
- Problem solving skills
- Organizational skills
Knowledge and Abilities
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
- Highly proficient in database management, spreadsheets and basic computing.
- Advance computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and Access).
- Typing speed of 65 - 70 wpm
- Ability to exercise sound judgement under pressure.
- Has demonstrated strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to effectively manage a large volume of work
