Vice President, Capital Optimization & Financial Performance, Corporate Banking
About Us: Join our dynamic team in Risk & Financial Management within Global Corporate Banking, Capital Markets, where we manage and optimize risks, capital, and other financial resources to enhance the business performance. We collaborate closely with Corporate Bankers and the leadership team, as well as stakeholders in various areas of the bank, connecting capital and risk expertise with the front line of the business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Gain insights and provide recommendations on regulatory capital, risk/return assessments, and stress testing.
- Collaborate with Risk Methodology teams in development and enhancements of risk models relevant to Corporate Banking.
- Build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Serve as a go-to expert for methodology-related inquiries regarding deal profitability and capital/risk-related questions for Corporate Bankers.
- Perform data analytics using a variety of data sources.
- Connect risk considerations with business opportunities to drive profitability.
Qualifications:
- 4 - 8 years of experience in capital, risk management or stress testing, along with a post-secondary degree in a quantitative field of study, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Knowledge of capital frameworks and/or risk model development/validation.
- Experience with data preparation, data analysis, and statistical tool sets such as SQL, SAS, Excel VBA, R, Python, MATLAB.
- Exhibit strong logical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to learn and curiosity.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver under tight timelines.
- Communicate effectively with in-depth verbal and written communication skills.
- In-depth data-driven decision-making skills.

$106,000.00 - $138,000.00 CAD

$69,000.00 - $129,000.00

Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure. Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked. For commission roles, the salary listed above represents BMO Financial Group’s expected target for the first year in this position.
