What is the opportunity?
The Fixed Income Derivative Operations group under RBC Capital Markets is looking to hire a Trade Support Analyst.
The incumbent is responsible for ensuring accurate timely booking of trades and directly supports all Fixed Income Derivative, Money Market, FX, and Corporate Treasury trading desks to facilitate profitable trading and efficient interaction between the trading and the operations group.
What will you do?
- Ensure accurate input of Toronto trades into internal booking systems with appropriately assigned identifiers such as relevant flags and keywords.
- Verify that all new deals and post-trade amendments are authorized by traders in accordance with the bank’s Standing Order policies.
- Ensure that Front Office personnel inputs and amends trades in a timely and accurate manner in various Capital Markets systems (e.g., Infinity, Murex, MarkitWire, Bloomberg and Tradeweb).
- Actively monitor processes and work flows between the trading desks and the Operations Group to ensure smooth flow of operational activities.
- Continuous monitoring of the shared group inbox and inform traders to respond to requests within time constrained deadlines.
- Process post-trade amendments related to the lifecycle the trades (e.g., unwinds, novations, restructurings, etc.).
- Investigate and resolve internal MTM discrepancies via Toronto and London internal MTM reconciliation reports.
- Daily review of reconciliation reports to identify issues, breaks, control deficiencies, and promptly resolving breaks.

- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent communication skills; both verbal and written.
- Good understanding of Capital Markets’ operational functions, processes, and organizational structure.
- Relevant industry experience with a focus on fixed income products such as but not limited to Interest Rate Derivatives, Cross Currency Swaps, Bonds, Forward Rate Agreements, FX trades.
- Naturally analytical and inquisitive with the ability to think critically while identifying issues and suggesting solutions.
Nice‐to‐have
- Experience/working knowledge of Fixed Income Derivatives products and ISDA terminology.
- Strong understanding of risk concepts and risk management practices.
- Working knowledge of various systems: Murex, Infinity, MarkitWire, Bloomberg, and Tradeweb.
