This permanent, onsite position (Job ID: 2025-82) offers a unique opportunity to provide exceptional care to our geriatric patients in Sturgeon Falls, ON, Canada, contributing to admission avoidance and comprehensive discharge planning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive geriatric assessments and medical assessments for emergency department patients.
- Develop and implement intervention plans focused on admission avoidance and safe discharge planning.
- Provide expert nursing care, including mental health nursing support, tailored to the needs of older adults.
- Utilize strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrate excellent interpersonal communication and organizational skills for effective patient and team collaboration.
- Manage multiple tasks efficiently with strong time management abilities.
- Maintain accurate electronic health records with proficiency in computer systems.
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Completed College/University education in Nursing.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of mid-level experience in nursing, preferably with a focus on geriatrics or emergency care.
- Current Certification of Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario is mandatory.
- Required Certifications: BCLS, ACLS, IV Therapy Certification.
- Desired Certifications: Gerontological Nursing Certificate, Geriatric Certificate Program.
- Proficiency in both French and English is required.

Compensation & Benefits:
