Position Title: IDD Co-op

Who We Are STC is a joint venture between Aecon and FCC Canada Ltd. that was selected by Metrolinx to deliver the Scarborough Subway Extension – Stations, Rail and Systems (SSE-SRS) package. The Scarborough Subway Extension will bring the TTC’s Line 2 subway service nearly eight kilometers farther into Scarborough. It will extend from Kennedy Station to Sheppard Avenue and McCowan Road, providing quick and seamless transit for those heading into and out of the downtown core and those travelling within Scarborough. The extension will replace Line 3 (the Scarborough RT), helping to reduce travel times and improve access to jobs, schools, and other key destinations throughout the city.

As part of this project, we are currently looking for an Integrated Digital Delivery Co-op to join our team.

What You Will Do

  • Assist in the setup, maintenance, and management of Common Data Environments (CDE) for project teams.

  • Support the creation, validation, and coordination of 3D BIM models for design, planning, and construction.

  • Participate in clash detection, issue tracking, and model quality assurance activities.

  • Help prepare and organize project documentation, including model content plans, LOD matrices, and dashboards.

  • Contribute to digital design validation, quantity take-offs, and reporting using BIM tools.

  • Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) User & Access Management:

  • Add, remove and update project members in ACC.

  • Assign and manage user roles and permissions according to project requirements.

  • Support periodic reviews of user access to ensure compliance and accuracy.

  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to facilitate information exchange and digital workflows.

  • Attend and support coordination meetings, taking notes, and tracking action items.

  • Assist with training sessions and workshops for project teams on BIM and IDD tools and processes.

  • Maintain accurate records of model revisions, approvals, and project deliverables in accordance with project standards.

  • Support the integration of geospatial data, survey information, and technical drawings into federated BIM models.

Experience You Will Bring

  • Must be enrolled in a post-secondary co-operative education program in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or related discipline.
  • Basic understanding of BIM concepts, digital design, and construction processes.
  • Familiarity with BIM software (e.g., Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, Civil 3D).
  • Knowledge of Python, Dynamo, and/or automation or scripting tools is an asset.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new digital tools and workflows.
  • Ability to follow established standards, procedures, and best practices.
  • Interest in digital innovation and continuous improvement in construction.

About Scarborough Transit Connect

It will extend from Kennedy Station to Sheppard Avenue and McCowan Road, providing quick and seamless transit for those heading into and out of the downtown core and those travelling within Scarborough. The extension will replace Line 3 (the Scarborough RT), helping to reduce travel times and improve access to jobs, schools and other key destinations throughout the city.

To deliver the Scarborough Subway Extension as quickly as possible, construction has been split into two contracts – an advanced tunneling contract that is already underway, and the stations, rail and systems (SRS) contract. The SRS contract is kicking off with a development phase before the construction phase begins, with Scarborough Transit Connect selected as the partner for the development phase.

This consortium is made up of Aecon Infrastructure Management Inc., and FCC Canada Ltd.
