The Blueprint

The Financial Analyst to support full-cycle financial reporting, month-end close, and cash flow planning across a diverse portfolio of corporate, subsidiary, and charitable entities. This role plays a key part in preparing financial statements, managing tax provisions, supporting reorganizations, and delivering insightful reporting to executive leadership. The ideal candidate will thrive in a collaborative environment, contribute to process improvements, and support strategic decision-making through accurate forecasting and performance analysis.

A Glimpse into Your Daily Activities

  • Financial Reporting and Reconciliations: Prepare and review financial statements, trial balances, and reconciliations while driving improvements in reporting processes and identifying financial and tax risks.
  • Month-End Processes: Manage month-end close activities including reconciliations, HST filings, reorganizations, and accounting system transitions in coordination with internal teams.
  • Cash Flow Reporting and Planning: Develop and maintain monthly and daily cash flow forecasts and reports to support executive decision-making and quarterly owner distributions.
  • Other Duties: Support tax provision estimates, KPI dashboard preparation, special projects, and ad-hoc financial and administrative tasks for Tridel’s corporate structure.

The Architect of Your Success

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation is required.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a financial role or capacity, including experience with audit and review engagements at a public accounting firm.
  • In-depth knowledge of corporate finance and accounting principles, laws, and best practices.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of ASPE accounting.
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office (PowerPoint & Word) and Adobe Acrobat Pro is required for data analysis and compilation of presentations for the CFO and senior leadership team.
  • Experience with preparing corporate income tax returns (T2s).
  • Experience with multiple lines of business reporting.
  • Experience consolidating information from disparate sources in an efficient manner.
